An ancient and iconic source of blue. It has long leafy stems that can be easily propagated, and produces beautiful pink flowers in Autumn. Yields beautiful blues through a vat dipping process. Can be used for fresh leaf dyeing or for fermenting and extracting pigment.


Indigo is not only a great source of natural colour that you harvest and then infuse into your house and wardrobe, but are also beautiful colourful/sculptural additions when in flower, attracting bees and other pollinators.


Packed in a kraft seed packet - each packet contains approximately 50 seeds.
2025/26 - Grown and harvested from our farm in Tai Tapu, Canterbury. Certified Organic 2026.

These plants thrive in tropical climates, so make sure they are well-watered - they also benefit from rich soil and a small amount of feeding over the course of the summer.  Can be harvested multiple times throughout the season as well as being very easy to propagate.
